Unleash the Looney was formed by brothers Revrend "Rev" Renner and Rupert "Rip" Renner and Chester "Tech" E. Coyote when those met Daniel "Duck" Canard Jr. and Asher "Ace" Harestein in highschool. The five were the sons of Randell "Roadrunner" Renner, William "Wile" E. Coyote, Daniel "Daffy Duck" Canard Sr. and Benjamin "Bugs Bunny" Harestein. The name of the band came to be when rhythm guitarist Rev became tired of his brother's mild and timid stage persona, claiming that such persona doesnt fit a frontman in their kind of band. According to Ace what transpired was: "He(Rev) grabbed Rip by his collah and yelled in his face 'That's not how a singer should act, you are a rockstar dammit! UNLEASH THE LOONEY INSIDE YOU!' The next day he came to the rehearsal high on energy drinks and couldnt stop spazzin out and jumpin around. Somehow he was capable of singing da lyrics properly. Ever since than he just developed this crazy stage persona. I howevah really liked that phrase...'Unleash The Looney', I suggested we set it as our name and we just went with it."
