So I just got finished reading Song of the Summer King by Jess E. Owen (aka ElementalJess ), and bought the sequel immediately afterward. Guys, if you have not done so already, GO READ THIS BOOK. If you like gryfons, if you like animal stories - hell, ANY RATHA FANS will probably like this book. It's got a very similar "feel" (as in, the flow of the writing) but is a story all its own, and very beautifully told.

I felt like doing a quick doodle of the main character, Shard. Done in MyPaint because it still responds to my tablet strokes better than any of my other programs right now.
