"Ah don't worry, brother. The parasitic rapid expansion and fission cycles of the Cytokinetic Blue Jelly only last for a day or two. Then the newly split offspring of the original will be expelled from the body, and you'll be a right as rain. Speaking of rain, you'll probably be a little thirsty afterwards..."

"Thirsty? A parasitic slime monster is growing inside my body, and my most pressing trouble is that I'll be thirsty afterwards!?"

"Liquids are very important to all living things, Verrin! You should know that! That's half of the reason Cytokinetic Blue Jellies require a host in the first place. They absorb the needed nutrients and liquids from the host, who also provides a protective barrier for the jelly in its vulnerable state..."

"You sound like you're enjoying this..."

"Of course I am. I wouldn't be the world's Premiere Monster Mistress if I weren't! Also, you might want to prepare yourself for the expulsion process. It isn't pleasant."

Just a little thing I cooked up in my spare time. These two, Verrin and Marie, are brother and sister. They're both rather eccentric, with Verrin being a sorcerer and Marie being a keeper and summoner of monsters and other creatures. They're still close, but their eccentricities lead to... odd situations. Odd situations such as this one. Don't worry, Marie will make it up to Verrin, if only to subject him to another odd situation later on. Oh well.

I also tried a softer style of shading in this one. It's easier than cell shading in some ways, yet more difficult in others. It's still looks subpar either way. Oh well.
