Anamara by Lunarius (critique requested)

Anamara (critique requested)

Lunarius

Physical Appearance:
Standing at five foot four and dappled with brown freckles over nearly every inch of her copper skin, Ana has long pewter hair she typically wears in a wide braid that hangs down to just past her knees. Both her wrists and ankles are adorned with bangles of silver and colourful stone. Her long, pointed ears and slender fingers wear many hoops and rings of silver and stone as well.

Ana prefers to wear a supple doeskin vest dyed in a soft, minty green and something like a loincloth of the same make and material; both are ornamented with decorative stitchwork and the occasional shiny bead of bone or stone. When she has to try to look mortal, however, Ana likes clothes of natural fibers that don't restrict her movements. Billowy garments, like too-large shirts and light skirts that catch the wind, are often worn over sports bras and leggings. She rarely ever wears shoes, and when she must Ana prefers sandals.

Around her neck is a heavy iron collar, much scratched and abused, as though significant effort has been put into its removal. The skin beneath the collar is scarred by the constant weight of the metal band. Three links of heavy chain hang down from the half-ring embedded into the metal surface. There appears to be no hinge or catch that would allow its removal, as though the thing were welded into place once around her neck.

Upon Ana's face is typically a curious expression, coupled with raised silver brows and sweetly curved lips. Her eyes are an almost luminous pale violet, ringed at the edge of the iris by a deep indigo. Her pupils are slender, cat-like slits of black.

Personality:
Friendly, curious and generous, Ana enjoys spending time with the various mortal races. She likes to make music and laughter, and often Anamara has no concept of 'personal space;' she's quite likely to settle herself into a stranger's lap if there's no seat available beside them.

Background:
Ana doesn't belong in this world. Her people left it a long, long time ago--longer than the mortal races can recall--but Anamara was the victim of a summoning. She had been called, willingly, several times by an old man that had pieced together the once forgotten magics and had spent many hours asking and answering questions for the friendly fellow. Sadly his son, jealous of his father's talents and enthralled by the beautiful elf, murdered his father and used the old man's own blood to make the summoning a binding one. Now chained to this world by the collar she wears and unable to use the magic she was born with, Ana tries to make the best of her new life in this strange place.
