Lucifer with all the pieces of himself he has left and everything he's been given by those he's lost

Lucifer and his 6 siblings all carry birthmarks, usually somewhere on their head or neck. Lucifer's happen to be the marks around his eyes. Aside from these being identifying marks, they all have their own individual meaning, and may pave the fate of the bearer.

Lucifer's birthmark is literally tears, as he, like his siblings, has been cursed by their mother, and as the second oldest he must bear the burden of the loss of any siblings in their mother's stead. (It would have been the eldest son's duty, had he not been their mother's favorite.) The Ankh belonged to their former-psychic, now-psychopomp sister, Calvaratis, who walks the line between the living and dead, ushering souls whichever direction they must go. The neck marking belonged to the firewitch Promethea, whose corpse burned Rome when they all fell to earth.

The markings comfort Lucifer, however, instead of burdening him. He feels as if his siblings never truly left his side in this way.

The circling serpent is Lu's pinkie--severed, given life and made to stand guard in Eden, and eternally torn between guarding Eve or eating her. It is the only part of him allowed to remain where his mother may still be, on a separate plane he long ago lost access to.
