I saw that you wanted a critique, so I hope this will help out!

The piece is very odd, but in a good way that promotes its emotional aura. The patterns leaking out of the eyes (especially with the contrasting hot red with the cool minty green) have a dizzying/liquid effect that really gives this artwork a sort of magical feel. I dig that. The anatomy on the canine is superb, you seem to understand that very well. Also, the brush stroke behind him releases an interesting texture compared to the rest of the piece; very intriguing. In addition, the dullness of the brushstroke, in its own way, compliments the saturated colors of the foreground.

The only thing iffy I would say would be the thrust, or the direction of this piece. It's obvious that the dog is falling downwards with the colorful fluid floating upwards out of its eyes, but the one brushstroke in the background cannot fully cooperate with it. Maybe add more brush strokes to the back so it can go the same direction as the canine, but the singular stroke may just be a stylistic choice.
