Swampthing is probably the most evident mutant of all. Black, gray and brown primarily in color, it has several red lumps that potrude from beneath its skin--an outward reflection of its molecular instability. Swampthing has four arms, all of which are perfectly functional. It has several branch like tentacles that jut out from the back of its head and back and its tail is thin, ending in a large circle with a thin semi transparent layer of skin in the center. Its tail is surrounded on either side by a thin layer of skin that acts like fins. Its head additionally has additional growths that are surrounded in pink tendrils. Swampthing is not a friendly creature. It has a short temper and a strong bite that will cause rather nasty infections. Part of its bad attitude stems from the fact the lumps that grow on it are rather painful, as they grow and burst, then show up in different locations on a slow but continous cycle. Swampthing would prefer not to take prisoners, but rather end things right then and there.
