There are two reasons why I don't draw dragons often: scales and usable extra limbs.

An old character of mine. Its only traits that never change are bird-like brow ridges, three horns, long neck, impossible shinyness [think of 3d materials, the kind of silvery shinyness that doesn't reflect anything], skull shape and no facial expressions. It's not a mammal so it has very poor facial musculature.
It's sexless and genderless, but if your language doesn't allow it use male pronouns.
