metaphor for love

Loudst

Falling in love is like walking around on solid ground your whole life, until one day you realise the ground isn't really there. You don't know how long its been that way, but it is. And now that you know, you're falling through the floorboards.

Lex closes his eyes and gives in to the sensation of falling, trusting things to sort themselves out. If it hurts, if he ends up alone... if it was for nothing... It wouldn't matter. Lex closes his eyes and gives into the sensation of falling because he knows he's going to anyway.

Mike doesn't realise he's falling too until he has Lex's wrist in his hand and no ledge to pull him back to. Mike panics, scared to death of a sensation so close to flying and so far from safety. There is no net to catch them, nothing to soften the blow. Mike panics-- until he's holding Lex in his arms.

And that's when he realises; they don't have to hit the ground. They could just fall forever. And that would be ok.

I really like this! I like the motion you captured along with Mike's expression and I really like the description!

Ah thank you so much! These two are very dear to me and I always work very hard on art featuring them, so I'm really glad you like it. :')
