A gift I made for a friend of mine to use as a commission example a while back. This was a character he used in a Mass Effect D&D/Pathfinder campaign we were both in -- a saxophone-playing Vanguard Krogan named Jorgal Kurd. He also could use the sax for sonic-based attacks, and it was awesome. I ended up sending this to the printers, so he has an 11 x 17 poster to hang up as well.

Really fun character, though he caused my by-the-book C-Sec technician Infiltrator Turian, Saylis Telyrim, a lot of headaches. However, their friendship ended up being incredibly tragic in the end, as Kurd was killed while they fought the Reaper invasion when he threw both himself and an activated explosive charge into the maw of a Reaperized Thresher Maw so that his comrades could escape.

Saylis was not present when he died. She received the report later and was absolutely devastated -- especially when she received several transmissions he had prepared for her in the event he did end up dying where he revealed that she had reminded him a lot of the infant daughter he had lost year ago and she was the type of individual he had hoped his daughter would have grown into had she survived. Among other things.

That campaign was a tear-jerker for sure. I cried through a lot of it -- especially nearing the end.
