I commissioned this picture from ebonyleopard at Anthro Con 2012. The story IS (for those who know the extinctioners universe) the Soldier (me) was in Afghanistan in OUR world. He has all their comics. He was cut off wounded and about to be killed by insurgents (I was never wounded it's just the setting for the commission).

In THEIR world Phenix used a Phoenix gate to escape humans who had captured them. But they could not fully escape. Naked and trying to buy time they found a hiding place in an abandoned building (it's winter) the Soldier was pulled in from HIS world and found himself in a strange place, and has never seen Humanimals. However the GIRLS know NOTHING about this, all they know is Humans in uniform captured them and are hunting them and here THIS soldier in uniform shows up.... Phenix is NOT amused :)
