Following the massacre of House Sicarius and most of their bannermen at Silverdel, Soren of House Akroas was left behind in the hall as two of Lord Sicarius's children escaped. His curse of immortality was lifted as a result of his "sacrifice", and he was killed and flayed, his skinless body displayed on a cross at the vanguard of Damien Morkai's army as they laid siege to Falconpoint.

In another world, as if a dream, Soren found himself confronted by the gods themselves, and told that he was to be sent back to assist in the destruction of the Dark Lord once and for all. His body healed (with the exception of his shriveled hand, as a reminder of his task), he wakes up after the bloody siege is lifted and currently works more actively towards the downfall of Lord Fenrir...
