Soren is a bastard born of House Akroas, a family renowned for their impressive collection of forgotten lore. Originally hoping to rule his father's house, that all changed when Lord Agnitus sought the mythical Sword of Xenocron, a powerful artifact with untold powers. After retrieving the sword and attempting to use its power to travel back in time and set his own house up as the Kings of the Wolf Lands, the angry god cursed him, turning Lord Agnitus and his household into stone, ruining the castle, and laying bare their fertile lands.

Soren was on a hunt as this happened, and was spared this fate, but as a cruel joke or unfortunate happenstance, was cursed to live forever bearing his family's shame. Unable to die, but unable to enjoy the comforts of food, drink, warmth, and love, he is driven by an overwhelming desire to remove his curse and restore his house to their former glory...
