Andryx, a dragonborn fighter and Captain of the Water Bear. Orphaned at a young age by a storm at sea, Andryx took to smuggling and piracy before joining the marine corps of Saltmarsh. His mission now is to prove himself the hero he promised his mother he would be.

This lucky son of a gun managed to crit success through a treasure diving mini game I had in the first session, where I had in my notes if both the player and I rolled a natural 20, they would get a random magic item from any of the first 8 tables. He rolled high enough to get a flame tongue longsword right off the bat!

Captain Andryx recently discovered that his absent father is an ancient evil dragon called the Brine King. As the Brine King attacked their ship at sea, Andryx ordered his crew to abandon ship while he stayed behind to distract his father. The party watched on as their captain and ship got dragged down to the depths. Captain Andryx now dwells in the Underworld, desperately trying to escape while his crew attempts to rescue him.
