I think this experiment with scratchboard was succesful. I bought a whole bunch of different metallic foils along with rainbow and clay white. Sorry about the terrible lighting, the badge looked like shit in the scanner.

This way you can see it's petty shiny properties more easily anyway. I would say this would took me around three hours to scketch, ink, transfer and finish all together. It was pretty fun; I remember that I enjoyed doing this a lot when I was a little kid.
