Eri-chan’s origin is shrouded in mystery, but it’s known that she is the result of a Yōsei/Fae and gargoyle mating - something thought to be impossible until now. Due to her latent magical powers, Eri doesn’t enter stone-sleep at sunrise and accidentally wiped her gargoyle father from existence. She was abandoned to her Yakuza boss grandfather, a Yōsei/Fae that fully intended to raise the poor girl until one of his underlings, Overhaul, undermined him and decided to use Eri’s power for his own plans against society. This involved all kinds of physical and mental abuse, including removing Eri’s wings so she could never escape and clipping horns/her tail. She never knew she was part gargoyle until her rescue by the Heroes, and now she’s under Eraserhead and Present Mic’s care at Yueii.
