Introducing Squatchie! Squatchie is a cuddly magical forest-dwelling creature created by children’s entertainer Emmy Blue.

This is a mascot-style commission in that it’s one-size-fits-most so a variety of people can play this character (model shown is 5’0”- I think it looks best on someone taller), and it’s going to be used for brand promotion purposes rather than casual use at conventions. I employed a lot of traditional mascot construction methods generally not seen in the world of fursuits.

I think my favorite part is those eye-catching sneakers! It was a bit of a challenge to put them together and I know what I’d change for next time to make them easier to put together, but I think they came out really cute regardless. :) The laces were custom-dyed by Emmy and I installed them in the shoes I created. They’re just for show- I sewed through the laces so they can never come undone.
