PDDG: Bad Camera Work

Leon 13

Back to my “Pissed Diapered Dragon Gamer” series, one thing that is very important in 80 percent of video games is the camera. Without it, you wouldn't be able to see the game. And like Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation said, “The camera is like the working class. If you can't control it, it will plot to destroy you.”. And he is right, as he is referring to games with terrible camera work. An examble is Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. Unlike the previous, very difficult Ninja Gaiden Games, Yaiba has a camera that focuses on the character and moves with them down a linear path, often obscuring enemies you've moved past. Another one is Catherine, a psycho video game about climbing blocks and marriage issues. When your climbing behind the said blocks, the camera doesn't swing around with you, it just sits there, mocking your inevitable failure. And now my picture is an example too, as it's zoomed in on my diaper butt while trying to fight a lion.
