Volcanic Bombs by lazaruslong

Volcanic Bombs

lazaruslong

Went out on a geology field trip for school to Pisgah Crater, a small extinct cinder-cone volcano in the Mojave Desert. The liked this singular volcanic bomb (a boulder launched out of a volcano mid-eruption) just sitting around. It really was like walking around in the landscape of some of the photos taken during the Apollo missions, particularly those taken in the Moon's volcanic highlands.

(Yeah I totally imagined I was there on a mission no shame whatsoever)
