Older pic, but easily one of my favorites.
His name is Ri Shi, he's a cat fish merboy based on a Sun Catfish (( http://aqualandpetsplus.com/Catfis1034.jpg )) and with a bit of a story behind his creation. Basically he's inspired by one of the fish in a fish tank from when I was rooming with eziel. When I first moved in he had two catfish; a sun cat and a big channel cat. He also had some Oscars, which if you know anything about aquarium fish are like orange and black bass-like fish with attitudes. The Oscars would pick on the little sun cat, who would quickly swim into his log after which the big channel cat would come out and put the Oscars in their place, as if he were a protective big brother. Well sadly the channel cat eventually had to go as, given they can grow several feet in length easily, he was getting too big (thankfully they are also native to the area so he got to live on in a bigger body of water). Well when the day came to move him (which was thankfully after the Oscars got sold to a local restaurant who wanted them for their bigger tank) Ri Shi came out of his log and started swimming back and forth along the edge of the tank staring out the glass, as if he missed his big brother. So that has served as the basis for this character and the story in the works for him that, if my writing is what I hope it is, may require a tissue box.

(Sadly the real Ri Shi died a few months back due to some complications which led to him to stop eating ; ; )
