Chris discovered that hanging around Lauren was unpredictable. He'd always been a male ram before he met her. Since then, he'd been in her body, a child, a crux, and any number of other things. Through it all he'd realized that beauty truly did only run skin deep, as whatever body they were in, he knew he loved her. He'd been able to sense her when neither of them were their original selves.

Drawn to her presence, he'd sensed what he'd almost call her soul. She'd reacted to him, and it was that connection he knew was their bond. She had changed into an elephant today, and his body almost in sync with hers had transformed into a mammoth's.

He hadn't even skipped a beat when he woke up with a trunk and tusks. The larger feet and body frame took a little getting used to, but he found his lover in the kitchen of their home, stepping up to her and placing his hands on her face. "Morning, sweetie."

Lauren blushed, looking into his eyes with a shy smile. "Hi, honey."
