On her latest visit to Equestria, Lauren decided to make good on her promise to teach Princess Twilight some of her magic skills. Zebra magic being significantly different in type and function to pony magic, she carefully explained her techniques to the purple alicorn. She brought along one of the student uniforms for Fluttershy and handed her a fire crystal to hold.

"Observe, my powers allow me to pull water from the air, or anywhere there's a water source. I can even borrow some from other places if necessary." Lauren gathered a volleyball sized sphere of water between her gloved hands, and held it suspended in the air.

Twilight watched with intellectual fascination. "That's amazing! I've never seen anything quite like that."

"This is one of the more simple abilities," Lauren said.

Fluttershy held a fire crystal in her hands while Lauren talked. The small red object seemed rather innocuous, but it had the ability to spontaneously generate fire. It rolled around in her hand while she absentmindedly waved her left hand half listening to Lauren's instructions.

"Now, you have to be careful with the crystals, because improper use can cause accidents," Lauren explained.

Fluttershy's eyes widened as a flame burst out of the stack of books Spike had arranged on the floor. She looked up at Lauren. "Um..."

"After all, these are very powerful weapons in the right hands, or the wrong ones." Lauren watched as Twilight touched the border of the water sphere.

"Um..." Fluttershy repeated.

Lauren smiled. "You see, there are twelve different types..."

"FIRE!!!" Fluttershy shouted in a tiny voice.

"Yes, fire... Wait, what?" Lauren looked at the flames. "Oh, shit!" She dropped the ball of water on the fire, putting out the flames and stomping the rest out with her hoof. "Sorry about that...."

Twilight brushed off the ash. "It's okay, this was an extra copy. I have six. Starswirl the bearded's biography."
