Lucy had woken up early that morning and got ready for another day at the office. She put on her best business suit, ironed and pressed to perfection. Kate had been out late last night working at the bar, and no doubt she had flirted with some of their friends that played pool at the secluded club downtown. Lucy sometimes wondered how Kate could be so confident and outgoing. She'd been that way ever since she'd met her. The snake had no problem flirting and wearing sexy clothes to get what she wanted, and often did. Maybe it was a snake thing.

Lucy put on a pot of coffee as the snake rolled in during her morning routine. "Hey, Kate."

"Hey, Lucy, sleep well?" Kate gave her a kiss on the cheek. She rested her chin on Lucy's shoulder and gave her the most innocent looking eyes.

"I guess so, but I have a big presentation to make today and I'm nervous," Lucy said. She exhaled audibly and touched her cheek with an absentminded paw.

Kate let her go and walked around the counter. "How big is it?"

"Huge. This could make or destroy my career. The client we're dealing with is huge, and they can't even have the slightest hint that we're nervous or unable to handle their every need." Lucy sipped her coffee to give her a moment to collect herself.

The snake smiled and handed her a paper. "I've got the perfect solution for you. Read this note aloud and all your stress will just go away."

"I don't know."

"Lucy, have I ever steered you wrong?" Kate gave her the innocent eyes. Lucy returned a wry smile. "Don't answer that. Just read it?"

Lucy read the paper aloud, and before she could ask what the unusual words meant, her vision blurred. Her body warmed, she felt an odd sense of arousal. When her vision cleared, she was looking at HERSELF! "What?" Hearing Kate's voice, she looked at her hands. Soft gray paws were replaced with smooth brown scales. "I'm...."

"We've switched bodies. Don't worry, the horniness will go away after a little while, apparently whenever two people switch the process just gives your hormones a boost. Anyway, I'll be back after work, and you just get that body some rest. It had a long night," Kate said, in a lupine body.

Lucy looked at her in surprise. "Kate, you don't know anything about my presentation!"

"I've got your notes and everything, I know how you organize in this tablet of yours. I'll be fine, you know I've got no shortage of confidence. Now you just sit tight, I'll be back." Kate strode out of the apartment in her lupine body, and in a moment she was gone.

"I hope she doesn't get me fired... How can she be so confident? Well, if she's going out maybe I'll do the same." Lucy searched through Kate's closet and selected some workout clothes. "After a nap." She undressed and climbed into bed, finding the silk sheets Kate favored so pleasurable against the smooth snake's body. No wonder Kate never wore nightshirts. Just a little nap, that's all she needed.
