This is a picture of some of the old characters I have made for a Ming dynasty Chinese fantasy

They are based on the Miao people of Guangxi and their habitat is in the dense subtropical forests in the south of the empire

They had old names but I do not think they are fitting now.

Here they are.

They are actually barehanded fighters stationed at their village to fend the village off enemies such as Imperial troops or any other hostile outsider. If you've watched or heard of this martial arts film, the Swordsman, you can get the gist of where I drew part of my inspiration from.

The characters on each frame from left to right say, "Unnamed Male Miao Warrior" and "Unnamed Female Miao Warrior". Now you learn something new.
