Gift for my wifey of her lovely AWD fursona, Khamisu. I've wanted to draw this character for a long time, and I have several sketches that never made the cut, still saved on my computer lol. I've been trying to get my ass back on track since quitting school (as I whined about in my last larger piece), and I think I'm finally on a good track to becoming what I want to be. A lot of my inspiration comes from Alex, too. Since...years ago. I've always looked to her as a role model art-wise. I have a fucking long way to even be in the same ballpark as her, but I'm really proud of each piece I've done for her. I STRIVE 2 B BETTER 4 U BB. ALSO. I know we don't talk as often as I'd like, but every time we do, it's really pleasant catching up with you ;_; Such an awesome person. UGH

I've surprised myself with this a lot a lot a lot ;__; I'm not one to add details in my pictures, as any of my long-time watchers will attest to. HOWEVER, I've been trying really hard to push myself out of my comfort zone and pick up some ~artist integrity~. Things in life do not come easily and you need to work for them. The basis of my frustration is usually that I give up and I don't see where or how I can improve things. However, I've bitten the bullet lately with my art and I've seen minor improvements in my work; also my self-esteem as an artist and the fact I actually feel proud of what I'm creating.  In this particular piece, I did the grass strokes one by one with my lil pen. I couldn't find any brushes I liked to achieve the effect I wanted, so I went crazy. Still not really what I envisioned, but it's better than I thought it would beee
