"So….This is my new fangem, Anastasia Topaz!!! The design credit goes to deer-head-xiris on tumblr (deer-head on DA). Really the only change I made was added some glasses lmao;;

I sorta headcanon that Topaz’s in general are more of a working class gem since they are fairly common and tough, but they cleave perfectly which makes them more fragile than other gems! Which seems perfectly suited for a gem that could be mass produced for general work, but unsuited for battle. There’s always some sort of demand for things to be built. Nobody ever wants to do manual labor though, so why wouldn’t the homeworld mass produce workers to do it for them? That’s where Anastasia Topaz fits in.
She is a builder/artisan for homeworld that’s just sort of…loaned out to high ranking gems that want statues rendered in their honor or buildings in which to laze in. She’s mostly known for her keen eye for detail and her dedication to projects. I’d liken it to the sort of work that came out of Renaissance artisans. She’s had a hand in several important gem structures but is mainly sought out for her art rather than craft. (Gotta love pandering to conceited noble gems.)

Anastasia Topaz was made specifically to do detailed, important, expensive work. She has a keen eye, still hand, and is focused to a fault, but she can be very one track minded. Regardless, she’s capable and valued for her work. She’s fairly friendly and open though she is extremely conscious of her standing in the gem hierarchy and comes off as politefully distant and professional to higher ranking gems.

Her weapon is a Mallet and Chisel
