We're playing a D&D 4th edition campaign on Sundays. I'm playing a Wizard. Here's the fella. Eldrid Brandstar, third son of the Brandstars, an important wizard family. He's not really into politics or anything, though, since he's the third heir in line to the family legacy, he's pretty much resigned and happy with what he's got.
He loves animals. Much of his family are adepts to evocation magic, however, Eldrid always favored Summoning magic. He has a familiar; Aogan, a dragonling. And a dog companion, a Husky called Ashbel.
Right after his 21st birthday, he was sent off to Green Valley to learn from the town's wizard and intended to success him. He was glad, since Eldrid always preferred a rural envoirment and the company of animals.
However things really didn't go quite as planned when the town's sheriff asked him and a group of adventurers to investigate a series of extrange murderers, presumably caused by a misterious man which every one called "The Preacher".
Although the investigation appeared to be going (somewhat chaotical, but over all...) well, the party ended up on another world, discovering that defeating the preacher was really just the first step towards a much grander adventure.
