"Argh. I look like a two-bit beach vendor!"

Having shot his no-decompression diving limit, Mast won't be diving today. Instead, he's the (un)lucky recipient of the dive resort's Mandatory Fun Pack. (Nuocerious might have liked it a bit more.) Until sufficent deco time has passed and the alert on his dive computer stops flashing, his fun in the sun will be above sea level.

Terrestrial adaptation has its drawbacks. Much like Tankaa, the structural differences required for an upright biped leave Mast just as dependent on underwater breathing apparatus as a human. (He's capable of holding his breath much longer, and can do a ten-minute free dive, but that's about it.)

I have the anatomy nailed down pretty well this time, although I think the subject matter could be a bit more timely. Oh well, that's just nitpicking.
