Lingo keeps record and extract Lime's memory in any way.

Then, he edits and trims it; cuts and erases his memory of death.

And he transplants the edited memory into another cloned Lime.

So, all clones except assistance Lime have same knowledge and personality.

The trimming is imperfect so Lime can recollect what has happened to him unconsciously.

But there is no problem, because he regards it as a nightmare and forgets about it.

Sometimes, he recalls the event but he just experiences déjà vu.

So it doesn't matter at all.
