Name: Jean le Auesticien

Age: currently pictured more at 17ish, several years younger than her older sister, Morgan (they have somewhere like an 8 - 10 year age difference gap, making Morgan her surrogate mother).

Sex+Gender: Jean is…complicated, she is sort of more wild and fiery than her sister, also more naive in her own way. Should her sister die, Jean is forced to “sober up”, but retains many “masculine” characteristics, still a free spirit at heart, and refusing to make her hair be any longer than it is. Many people for a long time think she is a boy, and since they know the king has two daughters, tend to not think of her as one of the princesses, or even consider it, should they catch a glance of her mucking about. Jean doesn’t care in the way that Morgan does (more in that she may not be purely aware of how far the rabbit hole goes), in some ways shielded by her father and sister from many of the patriarchal heavy problems that pervade their world and society at large. Jean reads “male” but is her own kind of unique “female”, being perfectly fine with “her/she” pronouns, never spoken to in degrading terms by those closest to her, so never really developing some of the bitterness Morgan has, and as a result so does their father.

Sexuality: I don’t know, Jean…seems to be experimental, still figuring herself out and not really into making decisions about it either.

Species: Human.

Defining/notable traits: Not much, really, just a wry, springy frame, always waiting for something to happen unlike her older sister.
