Definition
Umoya are dream guides from the spirit world and were sent in order to help the troubled with their dreams. In order to get into a dreamer's dreams they must use their claws to tear their way into the subconscious. Although it sounds brutal it does not at all hurt the dreamer. Once in, they will find a way to the dreamer and help them fight off or overcome their nightmare. They do not aid in the fighting unless its a dangerous nightmare, such as one caused by an evil spirit. In that case they use their claws, teeth, and magic to protect the dreamer. Some may even die in the process.
Their are two types of Umoya but they are relatively the same. Day Umoya come to those who fall asleep during the day. Much of the time they do not face much danger but when they do, the enemies are fierce due to the dreamer dreaming heavily. Dreamers who fall asleep in the day are normally napping or exhausted. Exhaustion makes the dreamer much more vulnerable to evil spirits. Night Umoya come to those who are asleep at night. Much of the time they are with the young children who are haunted or tormented by either evil spirits or abusive things in their reality. Because of this, they are much more soft and do their best to not do anything brutal or graphic in front of the dreamer.

Appearance
In general, Umoya's are fairly large being six feet long. They do not have feet so they float about freely but can also fly, appearing like an Asian Dragon in the air. The day Umoya's ears are shorter than the night Umoya as well as their cheek fur. Their eyes are also shaped differently, the night being larger and having a narrower shape. Their large paws are used to getting through the subconscious and for fighting. It has one large paw pad that is shaped in an unusual way. It is rare to find a Umoya with a differently shaped pad. There is no weight to them at all but they do have a solid body. It is not known how that is possible. Their tails vary in size but shape remains the same. Different sizes do not seem to make a difference in performance but it does indicate magic potential. They also have different kinds of ears that vary from size and shape, normally resembling animals and uncommonly looking out of the ordinary. The day and night Umoya have different noses, the night having a canine nose and the night having a cow-like nose. There is no explanation as to why. Tusks and horns can sometimes be found on these guys but it is not common. As for their eyes they normally have them closed but are open during combat.
They get fur only on their heads, around their neck, and at the end of their tail. Not all of them have fur and not all of them will have fur in all of those places at once. They have symbols that show what kind of Umoya they are and they are placed either on the stomach, forhead, or their back.

Sexuality
Umoya's are genderless but they do breed. Due to not having a sex the way they breed is much different. The two must merge into one for a month and during this time, a pup is being made inside of the Umoya. They do not have a stomach so the pup is made by the magic of both Umoya's and is held safe inside of a force field. At this time, Umoya are not able to help dreamers and must stay put in the spirit world until their pup is born. The parents then separate and care for the young vigilantly. They only have one pup at a time.
