Mai dragged the others to the middle of a field and showed them something beautiful. Fireflies. Honoka, who was used to nature, looked at the fireflies with a smile. They calmed her with their blinking and made her feel like she was safe again. Serena, grinned at the fireflies knowing that the blinking was the fireflies way of communicating. Kameko was in awe, the lights the fireflies produced shocked her. She had known about them, but hadn't seen them up close, only from a vehicle from afar. So for her it was magical. Xylia was similar to Kameko, however Xylia was always in awe when she saw something new. The lights the bugs produced made her giggle and start to hum a tune while the five of them laid down on the ground.

Mai pointed up a the bugs and one landed on her hand, tickling her palm. The others did the same, however only Honoka had a bug on her paw. A firefly landed on Serena's eye, making her chuckle. Kameko and Xylia just looked up as the bugs flew about.

Summer is the time of year I adore, why? This. Fireflies are one of my absolute favorite bugs, that and butterflies. So one night I saw a bunch of fireflies and this was created. I feel like this was meant to happen and quite frankly I'm thrilled with how it came out. It's been about a year since I last did a big digital art, so I'm very proud of this. <3
