The Elkeske of the Northern Woodlands are humble farmers who work long hours in the day, tending to their fields and orchards. To indicate your friendliness, it is common courtesy to carry two branches in your left hand, one of the pine, and the other a willow when passing through the Hjortheim region. In turn, they will feed you and provide shelter for the night.

However, if you are foe, they are skilled warriors, practiced in the art of Vagernl, which utilizes farming tools as the main weapon with deadly accuracy and power. Most prefer the sickle, as it is the best as slicing and decapitating their foe, however, there are some who are rather skilled with a spade and shovel. When they are not farming, they are most likely training and building strength.

Elkeske are easy to spot in the crowd due to their vibrant blue markings that signify their prowess in a fight. Each line signifies a particular accomplishment. Markings on their arms symbolize years of good harvest defended against the Vargulvs that tend to terrorize their villages. The crescent moon on their face is actually painted onto their faces if they know an attack is impeding to intimidate their enemies.
