in Australia rabbits are actually destructive horrible little monsters destroying the ecosystem. From wiping out native plant species to eroding the landscape. Just nasty little bastards all around. Where as Bilbies actually dig spiarl-shaped burrows that act as compost pits that germinate seeds literally regenerating native plants and restoring soil which helps keep the ecosystem in balance. These fabulous unique animals are a threatened species and do very much need more attention from people so this Easter instead of just shoving more chocolate into your face try to spread some awareness about the bilbies and if you live in Australia make sure you buy the chocolate bilbies instead of the bunnies cause a lot of the times some of the profit goes towards bilby protection and research. plus there honestly more cute anyways.
