Partial Fursuit Components by Kiaki

Partial Fursuit Components

Kiaki

So this is my very first attempt at the basic components of a partial fursuit. All sections have matching coloured fur.

First we have the tail. The front of the tail is a deep grey, whereas the underside is blonder. The grey stretches around most of the sides of the tail also. The fur is naturally brushed and sewn from base to tip on both sides. It is held on by two safety pins that can be attacked to clothing, but belt loops can also be attached.

The ears are formed flat, but are to be worn on the head folded for a more realistic look, but that it optional. They can be attached to hair by bobby pins, or can be sewn onto a head mask or hood. The back of the ear of the deep grey fur and the inner ear is the blonde. The fur is naturally brushed and sewn from base to tip on both sides. These ears do not flop. There is a line of coated wire sewn onto the reverse side of the back of the ear, and can be taken out if floppiness is desired. If not, they are quite stiff.

The paws are created to fit the size individual's hands. They are glove-form and do not cover the arm or wrist. They are VERY warm and do not itch, but there is room for thin gloves to be warn inside them if needed. The back of the paw is deep grey and the palm is the blonde with the grey fur sewn as pads on the palm and fingertips. There are no claws on this paw, but they can easily be added. The fur is naturally brushed and sewn from base to tip, including the pads.

With hard work, this set took about 3 days to complete. Everything is hand-sewn then machine stitched for extra security. The fur is faux, and not "FunFur", so no animals were harmed and the fur is very sturdy and generally hypoallergenic. These components are designed for a wolf suit, but I suppose if you're creative you can change the species.
