So this was my first piece of watercolour in many, many years (which it definitely shows), which I painted in May 2012, as it is the month of love/lovers (at least in Germany) and also the time of cherry blossom in general, and in Japan especially and I very much like Japan, Japanese and the Japanese culture and would love to go there at some point.

This was painted on a postcard-sized board and then sent off to my dear Komitadjie as a surprise [last month] May 2012.

I really need to get some more art supplies, like white watercolour pencils that show, some white colour for highlights on top of watercolours and masking fluid.
