The young lady subconsciously licked her lips as her mouth salivated at the sight.
She doesn’t remember the last time she ate and she suddenly realized she was starving…

Praxis saw the way her face lit up at the sight of food and smiled warmly, but his smile
disappeared all too quickly as her expression turned to one of sadness and disappointment.

“What do you want for the food and room?” She asked solemnly. “I’m sorry but I haven’t any money…”

“There are… “ She started again and a tear rolled down her cheek. “other… things I can do to pay you back, if you want.”

Praxis’ eyes welled up with tears at her desolate look and the tone in her voice.
What has this poor thing been through? He asked himself.
