This picture is a dedication to my all time favourite artist Skailla. For an passionate cartoonist at around my age, her talent has completely amazed me the first time I stumbled onto her deviantART page, and has been an inspiration for my artwork. Also, the way she responded to my question on her Q&A journal was just so sweet I nearly cried with happiness.

Never in my life had I seen such amazingly drawn canines with astonishing facial expressions. However, its her comic "Over the Mountains and Far Away" that really struck me. Not only is it deep, dark and compelling with outstanding drawings to accompany it, but the main character Wolpy was what landed on my heart. In addition to his nice design, I could really relate to him as if he is an exact me as a cartoon character. He is moody and makes mistakes just like me, and I truly adore his personality. Despite his bad mistakes, he usually is kind and sensible like me. The scene I have drawn of him helps reflect both guilt and the worrying of a mistake he made, kinda like how it happens to me.

With every deviation Skailla submits, it always catches me with emotion and joy seeing her latests works. At the rate she is going, I'm sure she will succeed into getting her dream job as an animator, and seeing OMFA as a 2D animated film on the big screen would be my dream come true. Keep up the awesome work Rachel. You're amazing.
