From the Dust (poster)

As I work more and more on this project, the theme of it has gone from a typical post-apocalyptic Mad Max-type world into one with heavy Western influences. As such, I delved into Western films to help draw ideas to flesh it all out, and nothing did better than some good old Spaghetti and Clint Eastwood styles.

The poster is inspired heavily from a poster for A Fistful of Dollars,

Whoa, it's like if Quentin Tarantino was a furry! And made movies worth seeing more than once!

Ah heh heh heh... heh... yeah...
I own his first three movies and their soundtracks and will always consider them classics. But IDK, it just seems like lately his ego is getting in the way of his storytelling or something. Like "Inglorious Basterds" felt like I was watching Quentin flip back and forth between two channels playing WWII movies; one good and one bad. The whole time I watched it I was just like "OK, ENOUGH with this plot with Brad Pitt and Eli Roth! Go back to the cool parts with Christoph Waltz!" "Django Unchained" was OK, but there was just something missing that was in his earlier movies. But he's certainly a better director than, say, Michael Bay, who just wants to make money and entertain as many people as possible. Or George Lucas, who just wants to make money and say "fuck you" to as many people as possible.
