I remember this day fondly. A red-eye flight from my home of Los Angeles, crammed in the back of a 747, no sleep, terrible movies, and a headache from some cheap wine. I had maybe half an hour of something resembling sleep when the captain called over the PA in German that we were approaching Frankfurt International. The glint of the rising sun caught my half-lidded eyes as I looked out to the wing, the sky, and an overcast Germany below.

As rough as the flight was, it was one damn beautiful morning.

A rather haphazard scan (and when I say haphazard, I mean I put the negative to a bright lamp and got close with my phone cam) from the negative, originally shot back in 2007. The original print has been lost for years.
