Yebut's Garden: Joshua the capybara by Kanada

Yebut's Garden: Joshua the capybara

Kanada

Yebut himself wasn't the only magical thing in his garden. When magical creatures move in, all sorts of odd things tend to follow.

Joshua found himself in the garden, admiring the wonderful statues and vibrant foliage (which was odd considering the time of year. It was snowing outside the garden walls but inside it was a permanent summer's day).

He did not hear the slithering of Yebut's form as the creature watched him from afar. The capybara's attention was caught by a patch of beautiful flowers. He knelt down and plucked one from the earth, admiring its red and white pattern.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Yebut warned him but it was too late. The flowers were coated in glittering magical pollen, and they did not take kindly to having one of their own picked like a common weed.

Yebut watched and smirked as the interloper to the garden started to shrink and shrivel up in his clothes. The red robes he was wearing started to disintegrate as their owner became tiny and frail. Shortly the clothing was gone, leaving no sign of their wearer: just a flower.
