Saikan peered over the edge of the rooftop onto the street far below, and the building at the other side. His target was inside. It would be a simple matter to jump onto it.

He stared at the stone gargoyle. If he held onto it, he could get enough leverage for the jump. He was mildly curious that it and its other silent companion seemed free of pigeon droppings. Holding onto a horn, Saikan jumped and immediately held onto the wall with his legs. His legs muscles tensed for the jump he was about to make.

A strange smell reached his nostrils just as the building began to shake. But the rumble of the earthquake was nowhere to be heard. Only a strange growling, growing louder.

Shocked, he turned to face the gargoyle...

This is probably my favorite drawing of all. Perhaps because how it ended looking, and because it was one of those crazy ideas that sometimes cling to my brain and demand to be drawn.

As always, there still are a few things I didn't like much how they turned out, but overall I'm very satisfied with how this one turned out.
