Finally it suddenly dawns on him as his palms begin to swell and toughen, as thick grey pads emerge over his newly clawed fingers. Greyish brown fur begins rapidly sprouting from his wrists covering their skin completely with a dense pelt.

(this was one of my favorite drawings to do in this sequence, I'm really happy with how the hands came out, and the way the shading of the paws came through^^)
