So my latest work refined after being refined after being refined some more lol. I've translated "Sounds of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel into Gothic. I transliterated it into the Roman alphabet for ease of reading (instead of using the Gothic alphabet).
IF YOU CARE TO KNOW: Here's a quick guide to reading it. J's sound like Y's. B's and D's when they come after a vowel that isn't from a prefix sound like V's and TH's respectively, otherwise they're just B's and D's. Þ is like the "th" in "thin." TH, or the D's after vowels I mentioned are like the "TH" in "that." The diphthong "ai" has three values. Most times it sounds like "eye," before R's and H's it's more like "ai" in "hair." Same for the diphthong "au," usually sounds like "ou" in "out," "o" in "not" before H and R. H and G at the end of words and before final -s sounds like "ch" in German and Scottish words such as "doch" and "loch" respectively. "Ï" is just like a short I, but begins a syllable like English "if." Gothic "Q" is just like saying "kw" like English "queen" (built in U, alright!). Even though Gothic is a Germanic language, W is still W, and I'll cut yer throat if you pronounce it like a V. So the title! Sounds kinda like "OhyoTHyoos thah"eye"n"eye"s, if that makes sense. Maybe some day I'll record me reading the lyrics.
