While looking and finding their father, they lost their godfather who Maynard cared more for. The gang leader and commanders roughed them up pretty badly, before the Mandibuzz could make the final blow on Maynard, Tye (emboar, godfather) scarified himself to protect him. While not a killing blow on Tye just yet, the 2 commanders attacked while the leader used telekinesis on Tye. Maynard, not able to move watched as they cut him up with so many flying and psychic moves. The gym leader was held down by other trainers under the pyshic power of the Beheeyem, he was finally able to release one of his other Pokemon, a surprisingly strong Morpeko. It got the 2 commanders but was unable to beat the leader. Distracted the gym leader was able to throw another Pokemon out, a Drifblim. It got the leader to run, getting away.

This is their return home. Maynard, a newly found Dark Type Leader and Abby the saddened Fighting Type taking over for Tye. Vincent is there too but Maynard wants nothing to do with him, this hurts Abby as well.
