Another little girls' tea party, but this time there's a boy involved. This was my end of an art trade with ConejoBlanco of FA, and in turn he drew me and Lea climbing a tree. Here, though, it looks as if David is not enjoying the fact that the girls have decided (by majority vote) that everyone at the table must wear a pretty dress. At least he gets a cookie.
One valid criticism of this could be that it appears that the characters are drawn in different styles. It's true; Jennie looks almost two-dimensional while Kat is more three-dimensional. Also, I spent a lot of time on the clothing wrinkles in Kat's dress; my idea was that Kat had been playing with the clothes in the dress-up box, some of which are for bigger girls, so it's too big for her. But then Jennie's dress looks like it fits her, so there aren't as many wrinkles and folds. David's got a dress that fits too; maybe Kat made sure of that. :) But also, I was experimenting the entire time I was making this; I used Adobe Illustrator for large portions of it (the table and dishes were done with Illustrator's perspective grid) but Sai for other parts.
David and Kat characters are (c) ConejoBlanco, used with permission.
Jennie character and art are (c) .

Very cute! Can't say as though I blame Conejo, though.
