As part of an art exchange I was to draw Erin Cloverfox, seen here, so I decided to have him lounging in a field of clovers. I didn't want to draw bazillions of clovers by hand, though, so I drew one clover and made it into a brush in GIMP, and painted a field of clovers as a flat graphic. I also used some 3D software and turned my clover into a 3D clover with a stem and a water droplet, and made hundreds of them, randomized in size, position and rotation. Compositing all of this together was interesting. But I think it turned out OK.
