Charcoal and chalk in mixed media sketchbook.
I know, that cracked me up after I did it. I was like, whoa! Totally looks like a Mogwai to me. Haha! Anyway, thanks! I'm trying to be better at paying attention to the details.
Pff haha yes! That's what it reminds me of: a Mogwai. xD But now for some more serious commenting: I think you're doing a great job paying attention to the details. I really love the eye, with the lighting and shading and everything. I'm still practicing that stuff too. Did you know, by the way, that for noses when you use thicker and harsher lines the nose will look more manly and when you use as little lines and shading as possible it will look more feminine?
I heard it recently in a tutorial and I've been practicing with it. Still find it hard, but as they say: practice makes perfect. :) But seriously, that eye... Those skills. Also beautiful how you managed to make the eyelashes not look awkward. :D
Oh gosh, eyelashes are so hard! I am not confident with them at all, so thank you--that means a lot!
Well, I think you did great with it. And I do agree: eyelashes are a pain in the behind, but you did wonderful with them. Never give up practicing, because that's the only way to get somewhere in the world with art (and lots of people seem to give up D: which is a pity) so please never give up because I really like your style. :D

I love how you practice with the details. The only thing that's pretty scary is with the nose and mouth and right over that the enormous eye. I know/see it's not the same practice, but it looks creepy. xD
