Harmonious Element keyblade

Harmonious Element
Strength: +0
Magic: +0
Abilities: Form Boost, Combination Boost, Summon Boost

This keyblade symbolizes the power of friendship. Its passive abilities boost all friendship-related powers.

When the Heartless invaded Equestria, Twilight Sparkle and her friends attempted to use the Elements of Harmony to hold off the attacking force. During the battle, Princesses Celestia and Luna presented Twilight Sparkle with an ancient keyblade that had found its way to their world long ago, and had been instrumental in forging the original Elements of Harmony. Twilight proved herself worthy, and wielded the keyblade alongside her Element of Magic in battle. Unfortunately, it was not enough: the Elements of Harmony protected the six long enough for them to be witness to the collapse of their entire world, until even that failed beneath the Heartless' relentless assault, casting the six into the corridors of darkness. As they fell through the darkness, Twilight's keyblade protected her while the Elements of Harmony transformed the other five into summon gems to protect their hearts from the never-ending corruption of the darkness. The strength of their friendship transformed the Elements of Harmony into a keyblade for Twilight to wield, the Harmonious Element. Now, armed only with her keyblade, her wits, her magic, and the five gems that bear her friends' sleeping hearts, Twilight Sparkle is on a quest to restore Equestria to its former state…

So, yeah. Yes, this crossover has happened several times before in fanfiction, but the two universes really are a perfect fit for one another. Kingdom Hearts and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic are two series built around the concept of the Power of Friendship, and arguably best exemplify its power. I have an idea for a much less depressing and downer crossover, which I might try to draw at some point. Or find someone to draw it, anyway.

So, behind-the-scenes stuff. I'm very proud of this, because I did this lifework and coloring entirely with a program I've never used on the computer before, SketchBookPro, and I think it came out great for what is basically the first time I've ever done something like this. Could it be better? Of course it could, but I had a lot of fun designing it, and would love to do something like this again sometime. Yeah, it went incredibly slowly all things considered, but I still managed to do all of this in one day, which I am very proud of. I mean, except for the original sketch. Which I may upload at some point.

Design-wise, this is of course made from the pieces of the Elements of Harmony. However, I'm very proud that A) I managed to use every piece, and B) I only had to make one new piece. That new piece is the handle, which is designed to look like a bit so that Twilight can more comfortably hold it in her mouth. That's also why I didn't have the second handguard on the backside, despite it being on my concept sketch. Another reason I did that was because I used all ten of the "necklace pieces" to actually make the keyblade, and didn't have two extras for the backside. And, um, the teeth is the tiara, and the chain is the extra fiddly bits that hold up the star on Twilight's tiara. And I only have a vague idea as to what this would look like from the front…

And, um, other stuff. For those who do not know, four of the six summons (Simba, Dumbo, Bambi, and Mushu) in the original Kingdom Hearts were based on summon gems, which were created when a being with a strong heart was on a world destroyed by the Heartless. Instead of fading away or whatever usually happens, they became a summon gem, able to briefly resume their forms and assist Sora in battle. I feel justified in the Mane Five becoming summon gems because, honestly, who'd have stronger hearts than the embodiments of five of the Elements of Harmony? Plus, I assume the elements would protect them as best as they could. I do know that summon gems are not a part of the keyblade, and that the abilities mentioned here are from KH2, but, well, I felt it was justified, because all of those abilities are tied into teamwork and friendship. A weapon like this is probably in the range of keyblades like the Keyblade of People's Hearts or the X-Blade: insanely powerful and unique weapons that fall outside of the normal Keyblades of Light and Darkness.

Oh, and really quickly, powers/attacks for the five:
Applejack: a purely physical fighter who deals powerful headbutts and kicks to enemies.
Fluttershy: Summons hordes of butterflies that distract enemies and heal Twilight.
Pinkie Pie: Uses her fourth-wall breaking powers to appear behind enemies and stun them with balloons and party favors. Can also summon a party cannon.
Rarity: Uses her magic to summon gems that do small amounts of damage to all enemies in the area.
Rainbow Dash: high-speed flyer that rams into enemies and sends them flying

So, um… yeah. Sorry about that, it went on for a bit longer than I originally thought. Thanks for reading and looking!
