Okay here's the situation.
I have run out of creativity so I'd like to borrow some from you guys!
My species ideas suck major donkey nuts so I need some fresh ideas from brains that aren't mine.
Some rules just to keep things Organized.
1: Don't steal ideas from other people. Meaning I don't want to see any Dreamy, Mantibab, eeldog, eelray or any other popular species mimics! Those will get you disqualified SO FAST. Not even joking right now.
2: Art theft is not okay. If you didn't draw it, don't submit it to my contest.
3: Draw it yourself! This is kind of an art contest, you need to be able to draw right? Bases are cool but I'd prefer if you made your own base.
4: 3 entrees per person! Secondary forms for species don't count as an extra entry.
5: Don't be mean to me or anyone else entering the contest. :I

Entree Requirements:
1: Full body Ref [Male Preferred/Sfw Only.]
2: Short description of diet, species traits not seen on ref [How they reproduce, do they live in family groups or are they solitary, etc.]
3: Difference between males and females.
4: Feral Form. [Optional]
5: PSD or Sai File for me to use and create adopts with. [Mandatory.]
Prizes:
1st: 2 Customs of the winning species, 2 Art pieces of their choice.
2nd: 1 Custom of the winning species, 1 art piece of their custom. [Pixel / Icon / Sketch.]

I'll enter with the race I spent the last few years designing for a book :3 heh
Unfortunately I only have a ref for a single character/female of the race because the racial one is NSFW and very outdated!
However, males look exactly the same as females anyway except maybe slightly tougher.

They're a tribal sort of race, slightly warbaring and hunterish. They can change gender at will like some frogs would in order to suit a shortage of a specific gender when it comes to mating season (as the tribes tend to be quite small) but other than that tend to stick to their chosen sex. They never know their parents, all children are raised by the Great Grand Mother, the eldest female of the tribe who serves as their leader. The eldest male becomes the leader of the fighters, a feared figure who only listens to the Great Grand Mother, and directs combat.
The two genders look identical apart from what their -personality- dictates. A dominant of the species is larger, more robust, and muscular, around 6-7ft. Subordinates grow lithe and small figures between 4-6ft tall and tend to work farms or building projects. Their hair is thinner and shorter keeping them light and airy.
They eat mostly meat and berries, enjoying a mix of the two. They host tribal gatherings with roasting prey on a spit and salads to eat with their share while they dance and sing and the elders tell stories! Their stature is slightly hunched and in appearance they are somewhat feral, so, sorry about that~
